This policy explains what happens when an event listed on https://booktkit.com is cancelled or postponed by the Organiser, and how this affects Users who have already booked tickets.
1. Responsibility for Event Decisions
Events listed on Booktkit are organised and hosted by independent Organisers. Decisions to cancel, postpone, or reschedule an event are made solely by the Organiser. Booktkit acts as a ticketing intermediary and will communicate such decisions to affected Users as promptly as possible upon notification from the Organiser.
2. If an Event Is Cancelled
- Affected Users will be notified via email and/or SMS as soon as we receive confirmation from the Organiser.
- Where the Organiser authorises refunds, Users will be refunded the ticket price to their original payment method, in line with our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
- Convenience or platform fees may or may not be refundable, depending on the Organiser's terms, and this will be communicated at the time of the cancellation notice.
- Refunds for cancelled events are typically processed within 7-15 business days of the cancellation being confirmed, subject to the Organiser releasing the relevant funds.
3. If an Event Is Postponed or Rescheduled
- Existing tickets are generally valid for the new date and venue announced by the Organiser.
- Users will be notified of the new date/venue via email and/or SMS.
- If a User is unable to attend the rescheduled event, refund or exchange eligibility will depend on the specific terms set by the Organiser for that event, which will be communicated at the time of the postponement.
4. If an Event Is Partially Modified
In some cases, an Organiser may change event details such as venue, timing, lineup, or format without a full cancellation or postponement. Where such changes are material, Booktkit will make reasonable efforts to notify affected Users, and any related refund or exchange options will be governed by the Organiser's stated terms.
5. Force Majeure
Neither Booktkit nor the Organiser shall be liable for event cancellations, postponements, or changes arising from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government orders, public health emergencies, strikes, or other force majeure events. Refund treatment in such cases will follow the Organiser's specific policy for the event, communicated to Users at the time.

We use the contact details (email and phone number) provided at the time of booking to notify you of any cancellation or postponement. Please ensure your contact information is accurate and check your email/SMS regularly, including spam folders, ahead of an event.
